By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, requesting an evaluation, opening a commercial account, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or services.

Depending on the material and transaction, we may evaluate or purchase:

  • Gold

  • Silver

  • Platinum

  • Palladium

  • Gold and silver jewelry

  • Estate jewelry

  • Coins

  • Bullion, bars, and rounds

  • Sterling silver

  • Qualifying dental scrap

  • Qualifying electronic scrap

  • Qualifying industrial precious metal materials

  • Other approved precious metal-bearing materials

Not every item submitted or presented to American Asset Buyers will qualify for purchase, refining, or processing. We reserve the right to accept or decline materials at our discretion, subject to applicable law.

Eligibility to Use Our Services

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a transaction with American Asset Buyers.

By presenting, submitting, shipping, or otherwise providing an item for evaluation, you represent that:

  • You are legally permitted to sell or submit the item.

  • You are the lawful owner of the item or have authorization from the lawful owner to act on their behalf.

  • The item is not stolen, fraudulently obtained, or subject to an undisclosed ownership claim.

  • The information you provide regarding the item and transaction is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

  • Your transaction does not violate applicable federal, state, or local law.

We may request identification, ownership information, business documentation, or other records when reasonably necessary or required by law.

Precious Metal Evaluations

American Asset Buyers may inspect and test materials to determine their composition, purity, weight, and potential precious-metal content.

Evaluation methods may vary depending on the material. The value of an item may be affected by factors including:

  • Precious metal type

  • Purity or fineness

  • Weight

  • Recoverable precious metal content

  • Material composition

  • Condition

  • Refining requirements

  • Current precious metal market conditions

  • Applicable processing or transaction considerations

An initial estimate, online discussion, photograph-based review, or other preliminary communication is not necessarily a final offer.

A final offer may require physical inspection, weighing, testing, or processing of the actual material.

Market Prices and Website Pricing Information

Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium prices may change throughout the trading day.

Any precious metal market prices displayed on our website are provided for general informational and reference purposes. Displayed market prices do not represent a guaranteed purchase price, payout, settlement amount, or offer from American Asset Buyers.

The amount offered for a particular item may differ from the displayed market price based on purity, weight, recoverable content, material type, processing requirements, market conditions, and other factors relevant to the transaction.

Market information may also be supplied by third-party sources. While we may make reasonable efforts to provide useful information, we do not guarantee that third-party pricing information will always be uninterrupted, current, or error-free.

Testing and Inspection

Precious metal testing may involve methods appropriate to the type of material being evaluated.

Some evaluation or refining procedures may alter an item's appearance or condition. Before any testing method that could materially affect an item is performed, the applicable process should be discussed as appropriate.

Customers should disclose when an item has special sentimental, collectible, historical, or other non-metal value before proceeding with testing or refining.

American Asset Buyers primarily evaluates qualifying items based on the factors relevant to the particular transaction. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, an evaluation of precious metal content should not be interpreted as a professional appraisal of an item's antique, artistic, historical, numismatic, gemstone, brand, or collectible value.

Offers and Acceptance

After an evaluation, American Asset Buyers may provide an offer based on the results of the review and relevant market conditions.

You are not obligated to accept an offer simply because an item has been evaluated, unless you have separately authorized processing or refining under terms that make the material irreversible or otherwise agreed to a binding transaction.

An offer is not considered accepted until the parties complete the applicable acceptance process.

We reserve the right to revise or withdraw an unaccepted offer if:

  • Market conditions change

  • Testing identifies different material characteristics

  • Weight or purity differs from information previously supplied

  • Material composition differs from its description

  • An error occurred during the initial calculation

  • Additional relevant information becomes available

Once an offer has been accepted and the transaction completed, the sale may be final to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Refining Services

Certain materials may require refining to determine or recover their precious metal content.

Refining may permanently alter, combine, process, melt, or otherwise change the submitted material. Once irreversible refining has begun with the customer's authorization, the original items generally cannot be returned to their previous condition.

Where refining services apply, settlement may depend on factors such as recovered precious metal content, assay or testing results, applicable market pricing, and any terms communicated for the specific transaction or commercial account.

Customers should understand the applicable refining arrangement before authorizing processing.

Coins, Bullion, and Collectible Items

American Asset Buyers may evaluate qualifying coins, bars, rounds, and bullion.

Precious metal value and collectible value are not necessarily the same. A coin, watch, jewelry item, or other asset may have characteristics that affect its value beyond its underlying precious metal content.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a precious metal evaluation should not be treated as a certified numismatic appraisal, gemstone appraisal, watch authentication, antique appraisal, or independent collectible valuation.

Customers who believe an item may have substantial value beyond its metal content may choose to obtain an appropriate independent appraisal before selling it.

Dental, Electronic, and Industrial Materials

American Asset Buyers may work with qualifying dental practices, electronics recyclers, manufacturers, jewelers, pawn shops, coin dealers, and other businesses that regularly handle precious metal-bearing materials.

Acceptance of dental, electronic, or industrial material depends on its type, composition, quantity, processing requirements, and our ability to evaluate or refine it.

Commercial customers are responsible for providing accurate information about submitted materials and complying with laws and regulations applicable to their business and materials.

Materials containing hazardous, restricted, prohibited, or improperly handled substances may be declined.
